Beyond obvious

It's been one year or since I moved to Belize. Many faces of what I do here have changed and now lead a crusade with a Swiss team who are finishing their DTS.It's been a week since I came. This needless to say I can not tell you EVERYTHING that happened but I feel the need to share the things I've seen, heard and experienced. Sometimes I think many of us need to see a new world, one that goes beyond what the eyes can: one that is necessary in life to mature and learn from life.
This week we lead devotions in the "Nazarene School of Roaring Creek", an educational center located in the village where I live, with approximately 400 students. The first day we work with the 'tinny ones' in ages of 5 and 7 year old. We sang, danced, prayed, and at the end we assist the teachers in the classrooms.40 to 45 infants in a hot little room run by a woman full of passion for teaching brings anyone to tears. I must admit that many of them made me ashamed of my attitude towards the study in all my years as a student.
Their eyes will open wide, when the teacher asked them to repeat the words that start with V:-Vasel said the teacher, "Vasel" - repeating all.But in the distance I could hear voices that read "Basel" (which to me sounds like it actually Vasel In Spanish the only important difference between the B and V is to write) Then I realized that 30% class were Latino or 'spanish' as they call us on this earth.Thirty percent of which 10% speak English (or chew it) only when attending school.Los Latinos are just one example of the difficulties faced by students from the other 11 ethnic groups represented in Belize. How often take my education as a game? When I had booksin my language, the teacher spoke my language, when my parents could understand my language and homework help.

As humans we are so ignorant, we have everything and we waste it.Last night I was witness of this, when we meet for "Worship 2gether" a Christian movement that aims to unify the church to pray and worship the Lord once a month. While 20 of the approximately 80 people there talked and got distracted.Eight Swiss had tears in his eyes, experimenting for first time in his life perhaps, freedom to worship God in public.Switzerland allows Christians to meet in public places every two years. We are allowed to meet each time that well ... we want to.And yet, do not value ...As humans we are so ignorant, we have everything and wasted. We have education in our language and play with it. The opportunity to get a good job barely like to work.We are free to worship God in public and we are ashamed ...
